Energy Boosting Granola Bars that are also F***ing SCRUMPTIOUS


This past weekend, some members of the Thrive Tribe got together to embark on a 5 mile hike in Cold Springs, NY. The hike was a good mix of steep terrain and flat, and we knew it would require a LOT of energy. So, what better way to keep everyone’s energy levels up than with tasty granola bars?

These bars combine the delicious tastes of peanut butter, chocolate, and honey for a Reeses-like experience that fuels you with whole grains to keep your body moving. Give them a try!

Really F****ing Scrumptious Energy Bars

Makes 8 bars

Step 1: Combine -

  • ¾ cup peanut butter

  • ½ cup honey

And microwave 20 seconds at a time until they are easily mixed together.

Step 2: Add -

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

To the peanut butter/honey mixture. Set aside.

Step 3: Combine -

  • 2 cups old fashioned oats

  • 1 cup rice krispies

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ¾ cup chocolate chips

In a large bowl. Mix well.

Step 4: Mix the peanut butter/honey/vanilla mixture THOROUGHLY into the mixture from Step 3.

It’s gotta be sticky, y’all.

Step 5: With your hands, press the mixture into an 8x8 baking pan lined with parchment paper.

Step 6: Press -

  • ¼ cup chocolate chips

On top of the pressed mixture.

Step 7: Cover the bars and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Step 8: ENJOY
